A bus driver or chauffeur of a tour bus company in Pattaya was squeezed by the bus’ hydraulic door. The door squeezed his neck, which immediately killed him at the bus hydraulic door.

PATTAYA – June 8, 2013 [PDN]; At 02.00 AM, Police Lt. Wuttipong Trakulwarattanti of Pattaya City police station was informed that a male was squeezed by bus hydraulic door to death. Police immediately rushed out a team to investigate the incident scene. The incident happened at Soi Kasetsin 4, in front of the entrance of Mountain Beach hotel.

At the scene, police found the body of a male who was lying down dead at the entrance of the bus. The bus driver was later identified as Methi Kantaweyao, who was believed to be aged around 30 to 35. The security guard of the Mountain Beach hotel said that as he was going for a walk around the front of the hotel, he saw Mr. Methi’s body sticking out in an unusual way. He then walked up to the bus and discovered that he wasn’t breathing anymore, which made the security guard call the police.

Initial investigations indicate that Mr. Methi was a new tour bus driver for the company. People who knew him said that his usual habit was to close the hydraulic door first and run down, but it was believed that he didn’t run quick enough, which made him suffocate after the door had squeezed his neck.
