Case Closed After Arresting 600,000 THB Thieves

Police officers were able to arrest a female 7-Eleven worker who had stolen 600,000 THB in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – June 6, 2013 [PDN]; At 00.30 AM, Police Lt. Colonel Pichet Sirinan of Pattaya City police station together with police officers of Banglamung police station worked together in the arrest of 36 year-old Ret Sornklin, who worked together with others in the 600,000 THB heist. He was arrested in his own rice soup shop near Naklua.

This case dates back to January 31, 2013, were two suspects stole cash money of over 600,000 THB at a 7-Eleven shop in North Pattaya.

Police were able to arrest 20 year-old Santarn Kummongkol the day after the heist happened. He was reportedly a 7-Eleven worker who was an accomplice for the two suspects who had stolen the money from the shop. On September 9th, 2012, police were able to arrest Mr. Pun Masameu, age 36, who was one of the two suspects. Recently, police were able to arrest 36 year-old Ret Sornklin who was the final suspect of the robbery. He was chased down by the police for over 2 years.

Police then questioned Mr. Ret who said that on the day of the heist, Mr. Pun tricked him to drive him home, he claimed that he did not know that he was going to steal money from the 7-Eleven shop. After an arrest warrant was issued, he had to flee from the police, as he did not want to go to jail. But he was ultimately arrested after 2 years at his own rice soup shop in Pattaya.
