Physiotherapist/ Dry needling? -OR- qualified massage

Hi all,

Keeping it short and sweet I'm looking for any recommendations as to a qualified english fluent physiotherapist, ideally qualified in use of dry needles to treat trigger points, or if I can't find that, a reputable and proficient remedial massage practitioner. I'm in the process of trying to sort out years of neglect caused by a combination of rugby injuries and bad training (core stability? who needs that???).

As I'll be in pattaya for a few weeks I'd like to have access to expertise in this area, if it's available. I have seen the other threads and I'm aware from those that I'd be bloody lucky to find a trained physio let alone one proficient in. Still, some amazing advice finds its way onto these boards so I thought no harm in trying :)

Cheers,

Hi, you could try Nigel Kelsey - 0890993845

He is based near the corner of Pattaya Tai and soi 16 (I think?) about 10 metres down the soi on the right.

He can do needles with a current and physio/massage. I have used him before and can recommend.

I also saw this on another forum but no personal experience -

There is an alternative medicine clinic on Nakula Road going north just before the Post Office Road (Numchai on corner) They do cupping ,acupuncture and other Eastern Treatments. Dr Tasani. 089-605-3317 Samyaek clinic same side as Numchai between Soi 11 and 13 has a very popular practice

Apparently dry needling is another term for intramuscular stimulation. I've been getting IMS treatments for a couple of months at home and I'd also like to know if he does this. It is a physiotherapist who does it at the clinic where I go but he's the only there qualified in IMS.
