Swiss Park Hotel or Nana Hotel?

Hello all and marry christmas and happy new year :)

I will stay in bkk for 1 week before i go to pattaya. I know about Nana hotel and i know its girl friendly and many usually go there. But I also saw Swiss Park hotel which is close to Nana hotel and the location is even better than Nana hotel i think. It look much cleaner and more fetures ( like lundry etc ). The food is good etc. But the only thing i dont know is if its girl friendly???

If the Swiss Park Hotel is girl friendly, which one should i choose? What u guys recomment?

thanks and many regards :)

I realize it's hypocritical but the sleaze factor in the Nana hotel is a notch too high for my tastes. I am glad I've stayed there as it is definitely a life changing experience 555. I like Majestic Suites for a better balance of sleaze and decency. I know my saying this only means I am not yet a self actualized monger.

Coming from a 1st timer in Thailand - 11/24/07 to 12/20/07

I spent a little over week in BKK and stayed at all three...well 2 out of the 3...let me explain.

I had a cheap charlie in the group and one who wanted to be as close to the action as possible, we had originally booked at Nana.

well after looking at the place we all decided to find something else.....haven't got to that low of a point yet...but I'm sure as I get

older the potential of not caring will get stronger.

Found the Swiss Park hotel on soi 11 and also close to a few clubs we ended up liking to prefunk at.

The hotel was great and clean and "open" to a guys liking.

We found a spa/sauna on soi 12 which was close by too called "King & I"

Only cost $250 baht for 2 hours of R&R during the day time.

Later on after talking with a couple of guys at the open beer bar at Nana Entertainment Plaza,

we moved to the Majestic suites in between soi 4/6.

It was clean, friendly to all and close to the action.

I would definetely recommend

Have fun in BKK:

a. Nana Entertainment Plaza

b. Soi Cowboy

c. Ratchada district

d. Patpong

never made it to Club Hollywood, but want to the next time I'm in BKK - go onto youtube and type in "Pattaya Coyote".

Seems you can spend a bit, but I want to try it out once.

also we got our occassional BBBJ throughout the week during the morning/daytime

over at Lolita on soi 8 on Sukhumvit : 2nd right hand side street.

This got us by until "dark fell"

never made it to Khao San, but from everything I've been told, if you have no problems with the sh-t at Nana hotel

then Khao San may be the place for you...but for me I plan to just skip it.

Also, good planning on going to BKK prior to Pattaya. I did the opposite and although I had fun in BKK,

once you taste Pattaya it makes it easy to spend as little time in BKK....but regardless of what others may say....I

think everyone should have the full experience of BKK the 1st time around.

Have a great time and if you have any other questions since I was just in BKK and it was my 1st time, feel free to ping me.

Aki

dorfie4eva - I think it only displays latest reviews

you can also check out Majestic Suites - good price, good room, guest friendly, right on Sukhumvit, spitting distance to Soi 4, so-so free breakfast - overall a 8 out of 10

If it was me I would go for Swiss Park, I have stayed here a couple of times before and is good value for money, rooms were clean and well set out, no problems with bringing back a guest when I have stayed here

At Nana, your girl for the night can always snack on a few creepy crawlies in the morning.

There seem to be many that suggest that you 'have to experience the Nana hotel at least once'...God knows why ? Perhaps they have a masochistic streak ? I'm going to second (or even third) the suggestion for Majestic Suites. It's just around the corner on Sukhumvit and, if you're lucky, your room will overlook Nana ! A very well run hotel, comfortable rooms and a very helpful front desk...who could ask for more ?

If you can't get into Majestic, which is often full, try the new wing in the Dynasty just down Soi 4 from the Nana. Or for a bit more baht, the Dynasty grande on Soi 6 next to Sofitel.

Thanks for ur all replies. We really wanted to stay at Swiss Park hotel. but it seems its full booked. And now we are choosing from Nana hotel or Woraburi Sukhumvit hotel. But we dont know if Woraburi is guest friendly?

I would personaly go for Nana hotel. but sense i dont travel alone we might go for Woraburi if we can bring up guest without a fee.

hope someone can tell us if that hotel is okey or not.. cuz we did make a reservation and we need to secure the booking or we loose it.

Thanks again

edit: i did google search and i found one guy telling that its not guest friendly and u need to pay 300 bah for guests.. can someone confirm this?

And the reviews seem very awful..
