European Robs 300,000 THB From Bangkok Bank

A European man robbed a Bangkok Bank branch in Phongpet, Nonthaburi Province. The man was reported to have stolen over 300,000 THB, he escaped as soon as he robbed the bank. He is now being chased by the police.

NONTHABURI – May 29, 2013 [PDN]; At around 08.00 PM, Police Maj. General Thanayut Wuttijaruttumrong, Director of Nonthaburi police station went to investigate a bank robbing incident at a Bangkok Bank branch. He was told that the robber was a foreigner, it was believed that he was a European in his 30s to 40s. It was reported that the bank only had two employees at the bank when incident happened. When the robber walked to the counter, he handed the banker a note which was said “I have a knife and gun, put money into the bag now”. The banker was shocked and surprised, therefore she put in stacks of 1,000 THB notes into his bag. The robber then ran off after he was handed the money. Witnessed reported that the robber used a Honda motorcycle to escape.


The director of Nonthaburi Police station said that police officers around the area have been ordered to look out for the robber. CCTV footage will also be carefully inspected in order to catch the robber.

WTF? Rob banks in the States. If you get caught you get a free lawyer. If you shoot and kill someone, they give you 2 free lawyers.
