Well what's the point of escaping and then going to the German embassy? He knows damn well the German embassy will immediately arrest him and hand him back to the Australians. Maybe he just wanted to bust out and get a quick blowjob while he was in Bangkok.

Well in OPs link it did say that they had contacted the Australians and asked them to provide another escort.

I find it surprising that he appears to have given himself in. Why bother escaping in the first place?

maybe he headed to Nana for a soapie or something, may be his last chance to be in Thailand...    as to why turn himself in?  can you imagine being a penniless guy with no papers, on the run in Bangkok???  not a lot of options available I would guess...

Maybe he went to report his passport as "stolen", so he could get a new one to be able to leave the country?

Not that uncommon that passportless criminals manages to get new passports this way in Thailand.

Yesterday a farang stuck up a bank in BKK, for a while it looked like it could have been this German guy as he was still at large. But obviously it was another farang.

Once it hits the media it becomes a prideful thing. Gives them extra incentive to set an example!

Very Interesting!
