US consumer confidence jumps to five-year high

Washington - US consumer confidence surged in May to its highest level in five years as a monthly survey found improved near-term expectations for the economy, the New York-based Conference Board said Tuesday.

Well, US econmy continued to rise and I heard that Americans confidence in the economy jumped in May to a five year high, lifted by a better outlook for hiring, rising home prices and more optimism about business conditions. However, taken together, perhaps they just emphasize the financial doubt and confusion that is so easy to understand at this time of political brinksmanship.
