Three Men Dead in A Mysterious Cave After Find Metal Charms

A group of three locals tried to find metal charms in a cave in Mukdaharn Province. The the went missing for the rest of the night. Making their families ask the monks to help them find the three men. Two were found but one is still missing.

MUKDAHARN – May 27, 2013 [PDN]; At 01.30 PM, Police officers of Mukdaharn Police station were informed that a group of locals were found dead in a cave. When Police arrived, they found the body of 59 year-old Ngern Chatipa.

Initial investigations and questionings suggest that the 59 year-old Ngern Chatipa along with his two other friends went into cave to search for herbs and vegetables. Locals believe that there are metal charms inside the cave, making them want to search the cave. The incident was estimated to have happened on May 26, the three friends went in to dive down the pond where the metal charms were believed to be in at. They then disappeared for the whole night.

Their families and relatives were anxious as the three haven’t returned since the day before, making them ask for help with a monk who was receiving his daily offerings from the locals. They asked the monk if he could dive down the water in order to see if the three men had drowned or not. The monk found two bodies of the three. The third person hasn’t been found yet. Police will now further investigate the incident.
