Shinzon & Apex Play with UV light....

Recently over the last year or so, BM Shinzon (good friend of Apex) have been getting together during his trips over and we have been testing new ideas, themes, equip, etc...

 

During his last trip over, we constructed a UV light box (black light) and called in the guy that does the UV painting at NLD1 to do some painting for us.

 

It was not as easy as we thought it would be (well my opinion anyways, he may have a different opinion, LOL).  However, it was a very fun couple of days and I think we nailed a few good shots.  

 

Here are a few photos from Apex, and Shinzon will be along soon enough to post his own.  

 

Please keep the comments comparing each others work out of this thread, as we are not posting our photos as a competition between us...  Its just good fun and we are sharing with the board.  Thanks!!!!  Hope you guys enjoy.

NLD1 does really well with those florescent paintings and you choose the right guy for your project.

I think the 2nd pictures is outstanding.

Hahaha... funny APEX.. of course its a competition.. but I left town before you did that 3rd photoshoot when we had figured out all of the settings.... you damn cheeter! lol 

 

Yeah it was definitely difficult to do this right! UV light from all directions and body paint... what were we thinking???

I personally had left as well when the third shoot took place...  So the credit for those shots go to the studio manager.  LOL.

 

I think you did quite well with some from the first day we shot.  Better than most of mine.  LOL.

 

Flashes, Gels, Bare modeling lights, UV lights, high ISO's....   The list goes on and on...

LOL...  Those are locked away in a Vault in Fort Knox.

You guys deserve more then words and yes this project is a class. I guess you guys are doing new photo shoots for DD?

 

I always liked the NLD1 shows and in my eyes those painters are great, i could see they paint amazing stuff in few mins and they really to be appreciated. If they aren't camera shy why not post few pics of those amazing painters.

Yes usually once or twice a month we do a themed project for DD.

Hmmm....  Hire the studio for 4 hours and I will throw in the model, painter, and give you the settings we used for the most part...  

 

J/J dude...

 

Settings for most of the shots I took were in the range of 1/50 to 1/100 shutter.  F/2.0 to F5.6 aperture.  & ISO 400 - 800 (mostly 500)...

 

The lighting arrangement was 24 x 4ft black lights, 40 watt (10 either side and 4 above)...
