The body of white male between the ages of 40-50, wearing only swimming trunks, was found near Jomtien beach in the morning. There were no signs of injuries. Police suspect he had been jogging and may have had a heart attack.

PATTAYA – April 17, 2013 [PDN]; At 9 a.m., a report of a body of a male white tourist being found on the beach was received by Pol. Col. Rasita Nenpong, detective officer of the shift of Najomthian police station. A rescue team from Sawang Rojanathammasathan foundation Sattahip was dispatched to the scene along with police.

The body was discovered between Najomtian and Bangsare beach, in front of the Guess house, number 70/3, moo 8, Najomthian, Sattahip, Chonburi

At the scene, officers found the body of an unidentified white man, 40-50 years old, wearing just swim trunks, bald, 170 cm. tall, lying on his face on the beach. His face was blue, and his skin was pale. There was no document to identify the man, and his body showed no signs of being beaten or hurt. Police estimated that he had been dead for approximately 2 hours.

Pol. Capt. Rasita Nenpong revealed that the man might have come to travel in Thailand and was staying at some nearby hotel.

As for the cause of death, maybe he came out to the beach for jogging, but he got a heart attack. The police sent the body for an autopsy at the forensic institute, Royal Thai police hospital, to determine the real cause of death.
