Dutch Man, accused of forging divorce papers to seize 60 million baths worth of assets from his Thai Wife arrested by Tourist Police.

Pattaya’s Tourist Police Division in cooperation with the Crime Suppression Unit from Bangkok intended to arrest three individuals who were known to be residing in Pattaya on Friday Night. Three arrest warrants were issued for Mr. Robert Dahan aged 44, the son of a prominent Business Owner in Holland, Khun Prom aged 46, Mr. Dahan’s Lawyer and Khun Preedar, who could not be located by Police and remains at large. The arrests were made following a complaint from the former Wife of Mr. Dahan, Khun Nongruck aged 31. Their relationship recently came to an end after Mr. Dahan began a new relationship with a transsexual. It is alleged that with the assistance of his lawyer, Khun Prom and Khun Preedar, fake Divorce papers were drawn up which contained a signature which Khun Nongruck claims was not hers and was forged by Mr. Dahan’s legal team. The papers signed over assets totaling 60 Million Baht to Mr. Dahan, which was just under half of the value of their Estate worth over 130 Million Baht. However, legal ownership of the assets belonged solely to Khun Nongruck. The local court approved the Divorce Settlement based on the papers which are allegedly fake. Following a complaint made to Police in Bangkok by Khun Nongruck, further investigations determined the papers may have been forged and arrest warrants were then issued. Mr. Dahan has been transferred to the Crime Suppression Bureau in Bangkok where further investigations are now underway.
