Unreal eh,   some of the dodgiest construction i have ever seen is in Thailand

I thought I read somewhere that the kinda

new mall on beach road,central plaza? was

showing cracks like that in the walls?

Might be bad rumors.

Oops! I hope the Sinking Fund was well subscribed.

It was down in the car parking area I think, but no worries, they bolted some bits of steel over the cracks

The basement floor has loads of big cracks too I noticed.

demolition job. no hope of resurrecting that one its too far wrecked. lucky no-one was working on it.  I suppose they'll blame the dirt.

The geotechnics guys are too blame,  if they never took cores out and tested... then its the builders stupidity.

Better it happened before it was inhabited. Hope they demolish both buldings.

There's a brand new 4-story parking garage in my neighborhood that took almost 3 years to build. It can't be used because the corridors are too narrow to get most cars through. Oops!

This can not be Pattaya.

That probably put off potential condo buyers for now...

This isn't in Pattaya... at the 11 second mark you can see an airliner taking off or coming in for a landing, so it must be somewhere else.

Mate go to China.

 

Seen scaffolding made of bamboo going six stories high.

 

The amazing part is that the bamboo is tied together with grey coloured duct tape.

 

Seems to be effective as they were cement rendering this wall so it seems it can carry the weight.

 

Also seen guys carrying wet cement in baskets strapped to their backs up a steep mountain.

 

In China anything goes.

Not many years ago, I saw ten storey bamboo scaffolding in Thailand all tied with string.  It was strong enough to do the job and was loaded with bricks and cement all the time.  Looked many days because I couldn`t believe what I saw, but it did work.
