Good Muay Thai gyms in pattaya?

Featured Replies

I live in jomtien and want to start training in muay thai and was wondering if there is anyone on here that can recommend a good trainer and gym in my area or pattaya?

Any info on other martial arts trianing around would be helpful too.

The Kombat group looks good, but the prices there and fairtex look rather pricey for one off sessions. Ther guy at Kombat group charges 2,500 for 1 2 1 sessions (1 hour)......considering were in Thailand I think its a bit steep.

Hi Punchy,

I have tried a few. Fairtex is for the professionals these people are serious and training for fights...dam good instructors all pro fighters. Excellent facilities 4 rings well worth a visit. Last time i went you could get a 500 baht trial session with a pro for as long as you could last in the ring - usually 3-4 rounds in this heat.

Down a level you have Tony's all ex pro's but down a gear and very friendly will teach you sparring if you up to it in this heat. Very friendly instructors go at your pace -can be done per hour.

Sitpholek now up on Sukumvit road has some very good old school teachers - ex K1 fighters know their stuff - can get a bit bloody.

One of my favourites I found near Pattaya Park run by an Irishman - basically they charged a few hundred baht for one on one training in the ring - covering just what I wanted.

You are spoilt for choice basically....the heat is the real challenge.....

yeah well i'm no pro hahah
I'm unfit. I used to box but it's been a long time since i have done any serious training.
So i'm really looking for a low key place for fitness and basics at this stage and work up from there.
Thanks allot mate

yeah i went out to the kombat gym and had a suss...

it is a bit pricey but if i was really serious it seems pretty good. 2x 2 hour sessions a day plus meals and a room for like 30k a month if i rememeber correctly.
