At least you have acknowledged Neil Robinson this year...  He has a pretty good draw and the semis should see him and Selby in the best match up for the Championship.

 

Ronnie is far too cocky and can’t win without match play.

Yeah,,, China is now a snooker mad country, Snooker halls in China are full everyday, In Ireland, snooker hall is empty most days/night. I like to see the chinese win one day.. I like the chinese Referee, very sexy...

Ok so the 64 qualifiers play until there are 16 left and those 16 slot into the 16 slots against the seeded players on my post. Obviously a big advantage to get seeded.

Ken is a gentleman, he helped Hurricane Hiiggins few times  when he was broke. Ken is a regular visitor to Pattaya, Stayed at Tara Court Hotel few times.

Yeah, you got it nearly right.. It is around 80 qualifiers in fact.... I think Jimmy White will be playing Mark Selby if Jimmy finally got through.

 

Jimmy White beaten by Robert Milkins 10 - 5 in final qualifier . He'll be at Sheffield anyway to support Ronnie O'sullivan .

 

Ken Doherty also out at last hurdle .

 JACK LISOWSKI   is my tip  to do well in the tournament , He recovered from cancer , only 21 years old. I likes his style of play, Polish name !!!! but he is from England. He awarded  Paul Hunter scholarship few years back.  I hope he will do well for the tournament... Come on Jack, show em what you can do....

You can find full size snooker tables in Pattaya , but i find the snooker balls and pockets on the tables are 3/4 size , which makes it a bit mickey mouse .

He is the only two (including Sam Baird) who had to qualify through four rounds to get here beating Anthony Hamilton and jamie Cope , While the other 9 qualifiers only done one rounds He will be hard to beat .  There were 5 thai players in the qualifiers two weeks ago, only Dechawat managed to qualify, Sam Baird will be interesting to watch, Like Dechawat, he had to go through 4 rounds including beating Joe Perry to get here, An English professional age 24 yrs old. At 34 years old, Thailand's Dechawat Poomjaeng is not as young as some of the other names in this list, but following his dominant victory against Jamie Cope, was probably one of the happiest men to make it through to the final stages.

Little known to those outside snooker and underrated to some within the game, Dechawat now has 29 match wins to his name in ranking event competitions this year and has qualified for the final two events of the season, having also made it to the last 32 of the recent China Open in Beijing.

With wins against John Higgins, Stephen Hendry, Peter Ebdon and Crucible opponent Stephen Maguire to his name in ranking events during the past couple of seasons, Dechawat is clearly not scared by the sport's biggest names and has little to lose on the big stage against one of the title contenders.

Only the third Thai player to qualify for the Crucible after James Wattana and Tai Pichit, Dechawat has spoken of the influence that Wattana has had upon him during his time in England, explaining that all five of snooker's Thai players share a house together in Sheffield and no doubt he will be leaning upon the experience of the two-time Sheffield semi-finalist over the coming days.
