Though not inconcievable i find it difficult to believe that the Catholic Church ( i don't like em either) would thow hundreds of kids out on the street. I'll see what else i can find out.

The article does not give a clear picture which is unfortunate.

 

What is actually happening is that the diocise is taking over the running of the orphanage and the other projects that were previously under the Fthr Ray Foundation. The intention is to maximise the income from donations. As an example the Pattaya Orphanage Trust (UK) which is a commercial fund raising organisation for the orphange remits about 50% of the total funds raised to Pattaya whilst the remainder is used for salaries and administrative costs. By taking over control of the orphanage the dioscise hopes that the majority of 50% retained by the UK operation will find its way to the orphange funds which is what it was intended for.

 

There are no plans to dismantle any of the projects run by the foundation, only to change the way that the projects are managed and this will be from Pattaya.
