Bombed Out – Life in 1980s Liverpool bands

The passing of Margaret Thatcher in the UK, and an email from a curious website visitor telling me the (frequently-hit) link on my website headed “Bombed Out” didn’t work, made me decide to introduce this topical piece.

It’s understandable on a website initially set up to support a novel partly set in the Vietnam War, that many readers, seeing a link to “Bombed Out”, would be tempted to click it (50 have so far!), and no doubt been bummed out by the lack of Bombed Out material.

Regrettably I haven’t had time to add anything to it yet, but I will.

Bombed Out relates to my time in a 1980s Liverpool band that became known as “Dead or Alive”. The above photo is the only one I have of my time in the band, the rest having been lost in various flat moves in Liverpool and London over the years.
