Cameraman dies in highway accident

A Channel 5 cameraman was killed in an accident in Nakhon Ratchasima's Sikhiu district Wednesday morning after covering a story on Transport Minister Chadchart Sitthipunt's opening of a road-safety centre on the Mitraparp Highway.

Another article in the BKK Post in the last few days covering a tour bus accident up north in which foreigners were killed, cited that Thailand is #6 in the world in road accident deaths.  I am sure that is per capita.

 

Regardless of how the figure is characterized, Thai highways are a third world grade bloodbath ... an indicator of just how modern and civilized Thailand really is.

 

I allow none of my family on the highways after dark on weekend nights, and after mid-day on public holidays.

That is tragic but I'm not sure if they convert thailands driving to the right side of the road that it will save anymore lives however they need to do something to curve theses accidents like more traffic lights
