I have backed Day 50/1 & Dufner 66/1 both E/W.Both have decent form on the course.

I see that guy Dustin Johnson is being backed,  he was a fantastic player a few years back,  had a long lay off with health problems,  i really only watch the majors. Anyone know how he has been doing on the PGA Tour lately ?

Jim Furyk has been struggling with his driving recently , so not a good omen , but on his day(s)  could win this tournament .

 

Bubba Watson  {great name Bubba } could go  close again  , also Phil Mickelson's touch around the greens is second to none .

 

Would love to see Lee Westwood or Luke Donald win the green jacket on sunday .

won early season,last 2 tournements 12th to tiger and a good 4th to points.

I'm sitting watching the Par 3 competition now with many past winners taking part. Nicholas, Player, Palmer, Watson etc. But there is an old guy named Jack Fleck,  93 years old,  he just flew one over the pond to about 8 feet,  sank the putt,  he walked (very slowly) over to pick his ball out the cup but couldn't bend over that far,  someone had to run on to the green to pick it up for him,  5555

 

All good stuff, a fun day. 

 

A couple of observations  - Rory has his bird caddying for him today,  the tennis player whose name i cannot remember,  Christine someone.

 

 

There is a young Chinese player named Tianlang Guan,  the youngest  player ever to take part in the Masters at 14 years old,  he must be some player.  He  is playing in the real tournament. How did he get an invite ?   Has he won something to be able to take part in such a prestigious tournament.? 

 

I can't wait for the real stuff to start. tomorrow.

I have no idea who will win.  But the Masters is the ONLY golf tournament I actually make an effort to watch every year.  I know the other majors are just as important.  I just love watching how these greens humble the worlds greatest golfers.

Hope its as exciting as last year great tournament

Here is a rather nice photo from the Masters.

 

It is very difficult to go past Phil Mickleson and Tiger Woods who have won 7 out of the last 15 Masters. 

 

Phil has won this month already and picked up a third place in a quality field..... I never count him out on the big tournaments.

 

Tiger has won three times this year and deserves the description of favorite. Three to One in a field of 93 is a bit rough and disrespects the rest of the world.

 

Australians only have 4 players and you would be brave to call them. Adam Scott has played well on this course so I would throw him in as an outsider.

 

Truth is that there are probably 20 players who could win just by playing well. Another 20 could play their best and be right at the top of the leader board.
