My novel, Back, explores the possibility that US servicemen were left behind in the jungles of Laos and Vietnam after the Vietnam War ended.

I personally have no doubt at all that they were, and some of the reasons for this belief, based on my own research and trips into remote parts of Laos, are dealt with here:

Recently, I was fascinated to read a reference to a US Marine called Ronald Ridgeway, who was killed in action in Vietnam, buried in a mass grave in the US, and who still turned up alive five years later, at the end of the war. I did some research into this incident, and here’s what happened.

Wow, that the US government didn't even knew that is terrible.

Being dead and even not being identified to be sure is a big mistake.
