Nice list mate thinking of giving Jay Leno a run for his money!

How do you find the Aston with that bland interior but perfect lines and power?

jay lenno likes newer stuff and I tell my pharang wife I am a value investor.

I was living in the UK around the time these Astons came out. The looks blew me away. I spent a week driving it in UK last April and the power is great and surprisingly really sure and steady with roof down at 160k down M40. I left it in UK and will visit via LOS later in year.

I like the interior and the best shot I can come up with at short notice is one from the purchase inspection. Here it is.

The Aston's are so aggressive looking with crazy engines but are a Gentleman's sports car. My pal lent me his DB7 when they had just come out. Have to say body was beautiful but dash so dated.

I'm sure you'd be right mate. I'm not really into loud US TV presenters, so don't really know much about the guy and was taking a stab based on the couple of times I had seen him on TV in relation to cars.

Ok this is right up my alley, dream cars? There are so many...in no particular order...

Porsche 959
McLaren F1 GTR
Aston Martin One-77
Porsche 911 Carrera RS (70s model with the original duck tail)
Mercedes Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe (only 2 ever made, both belong to MB and are never to be sold)
Ford GT 40 (original)
BMW M3 (E30 first M3)
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint 1600 GTA (original)
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (from ca. 2007)
Lotus Cortina
Mercedes Benz E 500 (W124 body style ca. 1990s)
Citroen DS Convertible
Bentley S2 Coupe ('59 - '62)
Porsche Carrera GT (the one with the V10 engine)
Audi Quattro SWB ('80s to '90) based on the championship Rallye car of Walter Roehrl
Ford Mustang GT350 fastback
Ferrari 275 GTB

This list could go on, but this is a start.

To be honest what I am looking for now is a classic of tomorrow thats still halfway affordable, currently looking for a BMW M3 CSL 2003-2004 (E46 body style) only about 1400 were ever produced world wide. One of the last low volume special cars from a "large" manufacturer that was still somewhat "affordable". Head to head the CSL beat out that days Porsche GT3 around the ring.

Ok dream over time to get back into my Tata Nano....

Good to see us Brits are still able to make a decent sports car. Well when I say make I mean USED to make as all our local manufacturers are now internationally owned which is a shame. Anyone know the status on the Caterham and Westfield sports cars?

As for the TVR's IMO easily the cheapest super car available 200mph for GBP60k.....

For me a dream car is one that I can drive every day and have fun with it every day.

At the moment I dream of an old mini modified with a 13B twin sequential turbo rotary powered through a WRX AWD drive train with a Holinger sequential gear box.

I see no point in having a show car unless your prepared to drive the thing, anything paddle shift is nothing more than a car that drives for you. The new GTR now way, the older RB 32, 33 and 34 with a manual gear box hell yeah. At the moment I potter around with a 320 WHP EVO VIII, only needs a fuel pump change and tune to get 420 WHP, which in Thai roads can and is lots fun. Prior to that I had a Triumph TR7 with a 5 litter V8 in the front with Supra gear box and welded diff which was scary as f&%k!

I can't really think of a production car off the floor, un-modified, that I would call a dream car.

Whattya mean exiled? it is my current drive..... its a 91 Esprit Turbo, 1 of 125 hand built and one of only 25 sent to Australia. out of the 125 it was the only one painted that colour and I still own it! I have owned it now for 8 years... it carries the number plate ESPREE

This is my other ride, its made by GM ( Holden in Australia, Vauxhall in UK ), it is a 5.7ltr EFI V8

I guess I was lucky as I had my 'realistic' dream car for almost 4 years back in the UK.

If i lived in the UK i would definitely have to own a TVR Sagaris!

You have a rotary in a Mini? Any pictures?

I had a Mazda RX7 convertible for a while took some getting used to not engine breaking on the rotary......

IMO, the RX& Series 6 is still one the sexiest cars on the road. I thought about getting one here but there are not too many, if any, mechanics in Thailand that knows how to work on them.
