Munich - Apple has lost its patent protection in Germany for "slide to unlock," one of the most familiar features of its iPhones and iPads, with a court ruling that it was not a solution to something that had previously been a technical problem.

Prior to the present I've always been a PC user.  My introduction to the Apple family was my first iPhone.  It was the iPhone 3GS.  I must admit, after using this product I was sold!  I soon after bought my first MacBook laptop & have never looked back!  As far as the patent on the "slide to unlock".  I encourage competition & I'm sure Apple will come up with respond to this patent issue with coming up with a more creative way to unlock your iPhones.  More power to Apple & long live healthy completion...
