Most upmarket places in Patong have joiner fees. Make sure to check.

 

Patong Tower is one to check out, condo's with great views...simliar to VT6 in Patts with each property being individually managed.

Wooders, i will be staying in Phuket for a few days around the middle of May.

The Salathai is one of the hotels I'm considering.

 

Once you are there, could you please let me know if they charge a pimp fee?

The Salathai is my hotel of choice in Patong as well. At 2000 baht is not the cheapest room going but compared to some of the other girl friendly hotels (Expat, Summer Breeze) you're getting a very good quality hotel. 

 

-No joiner fee

-No bad attitude towards the girls

-Walking distance to beach and Bangla

-Nice small hotel with a good pool and restaurant

 

I'll be there for a week from the 20th of May. Only 5 weeks to go!

I have been checking out the Salathai but have also heard in another forum that the Royal Phawadee across the road from the Salathai is also girl friendly

At the Salathai now and can recommend it. Try and get a room by the pool.

 

Is about 10 min walk to Soi Bangla.

 

^^ Phawadee is virtually opposite and also a great hotel. Guest friendly also

Anyone stay at phawadee recently? I'm looking to book there but read there was a fire there in December. Everything back to normal ?

I was there in March. They hadn't fixed the fire damaged area but the hotel was open. They may be doing construction when you stay there. Probably best to avoid

We rented Patong Tower 1801S for a month. Now the owner is demanding an additional 12000 baht for cleaning and other trumped up charges or he will make a report to the police and Thai customs.

I'd stay in salathai. Nice pool, girl friendly. Although there has been an influx of middle aged russians there recently. Some of them look down their nose at you while you are having breakfast with your 22yo thai girl.
