Hello!

Today I was searching about Pattaya on the web, and I found accidentally  about "suicide" and other kind of die of Farang in Pattaya.

If you want to see, be strong enough to watch this kind of pictures:

http://www.bestgore.com/?s=pattaya&submit=Search

Actually I'm new in this world, and I'm a little bit worried about security...

Is it really safe to take a lady to your room? And is it safe if I don't search for problem?

Thank you! :)

What you are looking at is a small number of cases where people have lost their heads by either falling insanely for a BG, or doing silly things, or making enemies/friends in wrong side of the road.

It is safe to take girls to your room. Make sure you keep your valuables safe and follow the vetting process (instructions in newbie section).

As in any other place in world, don't be involved in wrong activities, keep in mind that your life/health is more important than money, don't get involved in fights - be it for you, or others and don't get drunk unless you can handle it. Getting drunk and misbehaviour are biggest causes of most accidents and fights.

Pattaya is like any other city where you will find a small number of wrong people. Only difference here is that these wrong people are concentrated in small area where mongers float around and look for opportunities to take advantage of drunk tourists.

Whatever you do, keep it safe for yourself and others.

Happy mongering.

Welcome to the foram !

Their is no doubt a dark side to pattaya.

But as a tourist you would be unlucky for anything real bad to happen.

Just read the foram. for any thing you need to know.

And use don't leave your brain at the airport

Pattaya is as safe as you choose to make it.

Ask yourself how many people visit Pattaya, how many girls work here, how many bar fines there are daily and check the percentage of "suicides" against your answers.

I think you need to reconsider where you find your information - relying on a website like bestgore you'll probably never leave Belgium.

Yes thank you everyone for your replies!

Haha that's true I'm still naive and young, I never went there so I should be more warned about all I read.

I felt disappointed when I read that but now I'm just telling myself that it's problably someone ( bestgore administrator) who had maybe bad experience there or don't like Thailand or just maybe racist...

Well I'm going to read more on this forum and less on non reliable website! :Grin3:

Ahh, best gore.

The mod/admin of that site is particularly hateful towards Jews and Thai's. I looked at the various Thai picture threads and he has nothing good to say about Thai people at all, lots of negative and spiteful comments towards them.

Don't get a room with balcony.  Seems like the most common way for foreigner to die is accidentally fall off balcony.  Something about foreigner in Thailand and balcony that do not mix.

Just go have a great time come home save for the next time cos you will want to go back for sure stay safe enjoy yourself my big thing is don't get to pissed

If you see that I have died as a result of falling from a balcony, I have been murdered, as I am afaid of heights 5555.

Generally just be reasonably sensible as you would when traveling to any country or destination. Keep your valuables in an inroom safe when you take a girl back to your room. Thais are generally nice people but there are a few bad apples (same as anywhere). If you show some respect and avoid being a total dickhead and causing problems generally no bad will come to you. I'm guessing its the loud, aggressive and obnoxious guys that start problems in bars/with girls that tend to be the ones that (a) get stabbed of (b) "accidentally" fall off balcony's.

Keep in mind that most of the people who die in Pattaya are ex pats, who tend to be older anyway. Hence, it's not unusual for this demographic to die in larger numbers than other parts of the population.

don't wear any fancy watches - rings - neck chains and so on,

if you are hitting/spreading around Pattaya !

before taking any/one to your room:

leave them ID's (at all time) with the reception !!!

don't hire anything from the (local) beachroad..

and I don't mean a beach/chair by this !

for the rest - enjoy by reason -

Most inportant on Beach Road, do not ever rent a Jet Ski........ :stargate003: .......!

If there is a girl you fancy on BR, take her to your own hotel and have her leave her ID at the reception.

Hide valuables in your room, use the in room safe or safe in the lobby. Dont wear shitloads of cash around, Don't walk around with all your cards.Buy a cheap local phone with sim. Leave ur fancy phone in the safe.

The guys that fall of balconies are usually expats, not tourists. In many cases problems with girls, alcohol, money, lonelyness or a mix are the cause.

I think what is incredibly dangerous in Thailand is the motorways.  I feel safest travelling in a large bus but ride motorbike, take taxis and minivans.  I have found minivans very dangerous because of a seemingly inherent nature of the drivers to go very fast and not confidentally so.  Another case in point I took Mr. Taxi here from the airport and I believe the driver was hyped on yaba (it was a morning drive) and he drove very fast and almost reckless at times.  I don't scare easily but I am not foolish enough to hand my life over to an incompetent or intoxicated driver.  And don't forget crossing a busy street can be even more dangerous.  One must always remember that you are only as good as the next driver and you can be the best but it only takes one idiot to ruin a party so always be defensive here on the road.

Budget for a decent hotel with good security..only take girls from bars..a good hotel wont let her in without id..dont get 2 drunk while on your own keep your wits about you..its a new country and general safety RULES as for travelling anywhere you have never been before..Unless you were highly unfortunate its very safe.
