 Your decision is made and trust me it was the right one, being anywhere on the roads between the 10th and 14th will be mayhem. Got caught once by leaving late on the 9th and a usual 4 hours journey to just north of Korat took me 11 hours.

 

Going outwards from Bangkok the roads will be jammed as everybody heads home for Songkran.
