If you're a fan of "action" fights, I highly recommend that you find a TV that is showing the Brandon Rios/Mike Alvarado rematch on HBO next Saturday (which should take place on Sunday morning in LOS)

I was ringside for their first fight, and it was a WAR!

Here is a nice highlight video:

The action was non-stop and both guys gave as good as they got.  I was talking to the ref about it a couple of weeks ago, and he said after one of the rounds, Rios was walking by him and said "I fucking LOVE this shit, Man!" (the mike in the highlight video picks him up saying about the same thing in his corner)

There's never a guarantee that a fight is going to be a great one, but this has all of the earmarks of another classic!

BTW, here's the entire broadcast from that night:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MH8kq8wGOo

For the handful of BMs who have met me, I get a little air time around the 51 to 54 minute mark in connection with the co-main event....for the rest of you, I assure you that I am NOT Michael Buffer!  5555555

I hope people paid attention to this -- ANOTHER war between these two, and it sets up a third battle!

Both fighters were taken to the hospital after the fight, so I hope they take a little time to heal before going at it again

Where are the best places to watch the boxing in Pattaya?, is there anywhere that commits to all the big fights?. What about the UK domestic scene?

Sorry -- I haven't been in town for a big fight, so I can't help you on that.  I am curious, as well, though

Try Irish Rovers - LK Metro

I believe they use various satellite and cable services as well as internet streaming and slingbox.

They have plenty of TV's in there so can pretty much cater to most punters requests.

There is usually a comprehensive list of list outside of everything they are showing each week.

Worth a try IMO

The Sportsman's in Soi 13 located about half way down the Soi normally has the big fights on.

Really good food there as well.

Hey footypjman looks like I missed the FOTY. The only excuse I can offer is that I was on my flight to LOS at the time (one of the sacrifices one must make at times). I'm still looking for a link to the fight as HBO-GO doesn't work outside the country. Man, my DVR is going to be working hard the next few weeks while I'm away but I'll try to catch some fights on TV here.

World title fight here in Thailand on May 3 (WBC junior batamweight). Boxrec says Si Saket, but I heard the location is not definite. I'm gonna try to attend.

Report I have says that it is going to be in Si Saket -- Yota Sato (Japan) vs Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (guess where he's from?) -- looking at his record, the Thai kid started his career 1-3-1, but has run off 17 straight wins, 16 by KO/TKO.  Impressive for a low weight class.

There is a Thai promoter who does World title fights out there at least a couple of times a year.

Look for Rios/Alvarado II to show up on YouTube soon!

Yeah, it was confirmed for Si Saket the other day. I was hoping for something closer to BKK as the fight is on a Friday and I leave that Sunday. If it wasn't so close to my departure, I'd go. It'll be on Thai Channel 7 here. So, I'll watch it somewhere.

Will be a stern test for the Thai. Sato of Japan is a very good boxer. When I was here last year, I saw him win the title from Suriyan Sor Rungvisai. That fight was in Japan, but on TV here. The Thais have gone from having 3 world champions about a year ago to none currently. Would be nice to see them grab a belt here.
