Doubt many will admit to being HIV on this Forum if indeed they know.

The only persons i know HIV were Drug users or got a Blood transplant or got years ago in Afica. None are PA Board members

I started a poll a few years ago asking if anybody knew of anyone who had caught HIV in Pattaya. Do a search should find it

The riskiest thing I've ever done in pattaya is oral on a bar girl once but have received oral plenty of times and french kissed a few girls too, I have bagged everytime for vaginal sex and have never done anal as im just not into it, I mean am I even a candidatef or a  hiv test, I'm not overly worried because I know I would have to be pretty unlucky to have caught it, my biggest fear isn't catching hiv its passing it onto someone else

i partake in all of the above and more, and to be honest i dont worrry about HIV either as i always bag up when shagging, when i first started comeing to pattaya though i was paranoid of catching it.It was at the time when you were bombarded with warnings of the dangers of unprotected sex, nowadays though because people are more aware and educated and know the facts its not so bad,i would never get complacent though.

Other way round.

I fucked a girl over an 18 momths time period, no condoms used,  she was a heroin addict, she quit and I offered her shelter far away from the city.

She wanted to work and needed a health check-up to get a work permit.

She tested HIV positive, thus I immediately got tested also.

Seems females don't infect males that easlly but males do infect females at high %

Advice: stay away from drug addicts and wear condoms.

HIV is difficult to catch.

My lady friend in Thailand, knows of 3 ladies who are HIV positive.

One works with her cleaning rooms, she goes back to her home town for tablets and stuff to keep her going.

The other 2... one is a deaf girl, who works gogo's, the other works a popular gogo.

I'm not sure anyone that actually caught HIV will admit it publicly on a mongering board.

Herpes is one thing, HIV another altogether.

Would you still bother posting on the forum if you caught HIV? Just thinking it might lose its shine a bit.

Besides, if you got into an argument with someone on another topic they might inadvertently tell you to 'Fuck off and die.'

HIV and Motorbikes have much in common...Wear a Helmet but this still is no guarantee of getting badly hurt or killed..

No place on the Planet like Pattaya..Don't let your meat loaf

The receiver during unprotected anal sex is particularly vulnerable - male or female.

Bursting dobbers .and anal sex  can be a problem but anyway..............why would people on an anonymous forum be concerned about telling the truth?  BTW The two people I know who were  Hived lived in London....in the 90s...........both men...both hetero neither IDU  before that a few gays from the USA bath house scene.................all gay.

I know of a young gay kid, living not far from where I live got diagnosed with AIDS recently. I really felt for the poor guy, I know with retro-viral drugs he'll still live for decades but it's still a pretty shitty thing to happen.

There is  a guy on another board that ran a thread. He caught it about 6 years ago. Was doing bad things with bad skanks without cover and got unlucky.

It does happen, but rare.

That said, cover up for the good of all!

I'm still waiting for a real proved testimony that hiv can be transmitted on a normal vaginal intercourse from woman to man.

Normal means out of periods, no other std, no sore (ie herpes sore), no disease (early phymosis to be considered as a disease too), etc.

I trully believe that when infection occurs during vaginal intercourse, some factors are not reported in the testimony, such as herpes sore, phymosis, etc.

However, I would agree with anyone saying : "as we don't really know, just bag up".

HIV is widely misunderstood

there are over 100 virus and infections that lower the immune system

have you ever seen anyone with psoriasis - well this is classed as an immune disorder as well - however it doesnt mean you'll get AIDS which is another immune disorder

the bottom line is the more your system is run down the more chance you will get an immune disorder

so look after yourself and you will be healthy

We had a lady in 40's living next door from a house we have on the Mekong..she had no warnings and of course no test done and found out she had AIDS and it was all over for her 3 months later.

From what I understand if you find out early enough that you have contracted the HIV, chances are that retroviral drugs will keep the count right and you could live an almost normal life until a cure is found.

I'm safe, I couldn't handle the pain of Anal sex and my dick don't get hard enough to do it that way.

It's like trying to put a marsh mellow in a money box.

I often wondered about that, too. For example, could one catch HIV from unprotected oral sex (from or to the lady)?

Oral sex and HIV

Doctors and researchers can't be sure how many people have been infected with HIV through oral sex. Some think hardly anybody has been infected with HIV from oral sex, but other people think that as many as 3% of infections are due to oral sex. In late 2008, researchers looked at all the available evidence and calculated that the risk of contracting HIV from oral sex was very low, but that it wasn't zero.

It is known that oral sex involves less risk than unprotected anal sex or unprotected vaginal sex.

The likelihood that HIV is transmitted from a person with HIV to an HIV-negative person depends on the type of contact involved. HIV is most easily transmitted by unprotected anal sex (that is, without condoms), unprotected vaginal sex, sharing injecting equipment, and from mother to baby. It also depends on the viral load of the person with HIV.

Oral sex has been shown to be a less risky activity, but it is not risk free. Again, it depends on the viral load of the person with HIV and the dental health of the person performing oral sex. It’s also worth remembering that other sexually transmitted infections, such as syphilis, herpes and gonorrhoea, can be quite easily transmitted through oral sex. If you don't use condoms, or dental dams, for oral sex, it's a good idea to have regular sexual health check-ups.

The risk of HIV being passed on during oral sex centres on fluid containing HIV (semen, vaginal fluid or blood) finding a way into the bloodstream of an HIV-negative person (via the mouth or throat, which is more likely if there is inflammation, or cuts or sores present). HIV is not passed on through exposure to saliva alone, so a person with HIV performing oral sex on someone who is HIV negative is considered to be very low risk.

The type of oral sex makes a difference to the level of risk.

  • HIV transmission through 'receptive fellatio', which means an HIV-negative person performing oral sex on (giving a blow job to) a man with HIV is possible and it is likely that HIV transmission happens in this way sometimes.
  • HIV transmission through 'insertive fellatio', which means an HIV-negative man receiving oral sex from a person with HIV, is very low risk and may be impossible.
  • There have been very few reports of possible HIV transmission through cunnilingus (oral sex performed on a woman). It is biologically possible that HIV could be passed on through an HIV-negative person performing oral sex on a woman with HIV, but this is considered to be low risk.
  • There have been no documented cases of someone being infected with HIV through receiving cunnilingus from a woman with HIV.

You need to test again; AFAIK HIV usually takes several months to register on any test.

Usualy?...

7 to 14 days to show up antigene P24

21 days for antibodies.

With 4th generation tests, no reported case negative at 28 days that turned positive later.

That said, after having unprotected sex with somebody HIV+, ould be a good idea to test agin at 3 months. Never know...
