A 16-year-old teen boy and his young uncle were drinking on the beach with three women they just met, but were confronted and stabbed by two mad boyfriends of the women. The seriously injured teen was rushed to the hospital. The two assailants fled the scene.

PATTAYA – March 16, 2013 [PDN]; at 2 a.m., a report of a man being stabbed and injured during a quarrel on the beach was received by Pol. Capt. Vitsanu Chaisuwan, Deputy Inspector, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province. He rushed to inspect the scene with the rescue officer of Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation.

The incident occurred at the beginning of Soi 6 on Pattaya Beach Road. At the scene, officers found an injured male victim lying on the ground and crying out in pain. He had been stabbed on the left side and on his left arm.

The victim was identified as Mr. Songtharm Sompheuak, age 16, of Buriram province. The officers performed first aid before sending him to Banglamung hospital. Police questioned the injured victim’s uncle, identified as Mr. Pichai Krasaesom, age 21, from Tambon Paisarn, Amphur Prakonchai, Buriram province.

He told police that he and Mr. Songtharm are construction workers. They had been sitting to drink liquor on the beach at the beginning of Soi 6. Then a middle-age woman walked up to talk with them and asked to drink liquor with them.

A short while later, two young women walked up to the middle-age woman, and called her “mother.” So the three women sat to drink liquor with him and Mr. Songtharm for about an hour. Then two young men, who were the boyfriends of the two young women, walked up to him and said, “What did you scold at me yesterday?”

Then the two strange men attacked to beat him and Mr. Songtharm. The two victims tried to fight back, and then ran away. But Mr. Songtharm could not escape, so he was stabbed by knife until he fell down on the ground.

So Mr. Pichai ran back to plead the two assailants not to beat his nephew. But he also was stabbed and got a little bit injured. Then he brought his nephew to escape into Soi 6. But the two troublemakers still tried to follow to harm them, until the local people saw them and notified the police. So the ruffians ran away to escape.

After the police inspected and investigated at the incident, they let Mr. Pichai testify for their daily notes for evidence, in order to follow up to arrest the troublemakers to prosecute further according to the law.

Initially, police assumed that the troublemakers are ruffians hanging out at the beach. They saw their girlfriends were sitting to drink liquor with the male teenagers, so the ruffians felt jealous and harmed the two construction workers to show their influence.
