Where can I find planksteak?

Hi guys,

Hope you dont mind an Englishman posting in your forum!

I spent a time in Sweden and loved planksteak. I will be in Samui & Pattaya over Christmas & New Year and I have seen Scandinavian food there so I was wondering if there was anywhere I could get a good planksteak.

Any recommendations - Samui or Pattaya? I havent been to Sweden for a long time and I really miss this food (and a lot of other things of course).

Thanks!

Keith

samui , chez andy and churrasso both in chaweng on the main street

"And were you pleased?" they asked Helen in Hell.

"Pleased?" answered she,when all Troy's towers fell;

And dead were Priam´s sons, and lost his throne?

And such a war was fought as none had known;

And even the Gods took part; and all because

Of me alone! Pleased?

I should say I was!"

sorry guys, but what the hell is a planksteak?

The way I remember planksteak as my mother called it is a cheaper cut of meat which is rolled around a stuffing ( like you would put into a Thanksgiving turkey ) and baked in the oven. when serving you cut it to display the stuffing and yes you can have mashed potatoes etc with it to make a full meal, now don't forget the carrots and green beans and the gravy.

Thinking right now about another dish which is called philamion. Have not had eather for a long time.

Philamion ( spelling ) is a cut of beef wraped in a slice of bacon as it is a very lean cut and needs the fat from the bacon to help it not to stick in a cast iron pan way back.
