Does anyone know if there are carriers affliated with american airlines that I can use my miles with?? I have about 80,000 miles that would be nice to use. Just for kicks I searched AA.com to get a price and they wantd almost $3500 with one stop. What are they smoking :What1:

Usually airlines that are affiliated with other airlines have a seperate FF miles program linked with the "union".

" Staralliance " is one.

AA is part of the One World Alliance. Your best bets to BKK on AA miles are Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific, 70k miles is what it will be between the US and Thailand (Asia Zone 2).

Look here

Good luck.

Thats great thanks. Do you know is it best to buy a ticket and then use my miles to upgrade to business or 1st class?

Yes 70,000 miles free ticket to Bangkok, and you can do an open jaw (i.e. fly into BKK, leave from Manila) or have a stopover (like fly into Toko, stay for a week , then fly on to BKK and then fly home no stopover. The stop over needs to be enroute.

You have to buy the full (or close to it) coach fare ticket to use an upgrade, the Cheap Charlie tickets won't do. Good luck trying to upgrade with a partner airline, though; something I've never contemplated, it might take a few phone calls to get a straight answer...

Me, I've always gotten the biz ticket award, only did the upgrade one time. Same same, no same same.

70,000 miles...gets you either JAL or Korean air if memory serves me right. Get away from AA miles switch to united star alliance that way you get Thai, ANA, Singapore air, United and a host of others. With Star you fly to Bangkok for 60,000 coach, 90,000 biz and 120,000 first class.

I'm or I used to be a 1k with united...the best package I've come across for miles ever. It used to be nice flying to Bangkok 1st class or in business with an upgrade for next to nothing with Showers in Narita, filet mignon for dinner with apps and some nice wine and the first class lounge my life used to be so great. All dreams now!

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
Monday 6 pm - 8pm  (then bar crawl after)
      21st March - Playpen Soi 6
28th March - Night wish bar Soi 6

      11th April - Repent Soi 6
18th April - where angels play Soi 6
25th April -  (next bar we have open)

2nd May - (next bar we have open)
      9th May - Cooters bar soi 6
16th May - Hot shots bar Soi 6
23rd May - (next bar we have open)
      30th of May - Lust soi 6
      6th of June - Illuzion
13th of June - (next bar we have open)

I look forward to meeting people again.
