Casino In Pattaya

A new casino is being built in 9 Karat Condo main floor. The gaming tables, chairs, and computers are now on-site and are being installed. The BIB were in yesterday to check it out, joking and laughing with the owner..

Could it be for a party? Or does it look permanent?

Gambling is strictly Illegal in Thailand..Even Cards/Dice have fines and forget slot machines which offer a payout.....

No place on the Planet like Pattaya..Don't let your meat loaf

Hmmm this is very strange news indeed.

I hope it does not mean what I think it means.

I did hear they were clearing a huge amount of room somewhere out near the floating markets for a casino in the future.

I casino in Pattaya would be so so bad...

The Big Money is in Phuket--Bangkok--Koh Samui yet no casinos are at these places so why would a Casino be allowed in Pattaya of all places? Never happen unless the Law changes to allow it...

A casino would be great to see in patts, but it would probably only use up valuable gg time ;)

Related though is poker games. Any friendly venues m?

You can gamble legally at the horse racing tracks.

Since Thailand is basically a whooly owned subsidiary of China it is only a matter of time.

I heard a Chinese outfit purchased a large chunk of land on Koh Larn

The thinking behind this is if you put it on an island - it will remove it from the masses and make it more acceptable when requesting a licence

Personally I would hate casinos to come to Pattaya or any other part of Thailand

The first victims would be the girls - they have addictive personalities anyway - so instead of going ST to run off to iBar - it would be to get to the casino - disaster would follow..............

My thoughts exactly.

I would hate for it to happen for so many reasons.

I really can imagine a girl finishing a ST then running off to gamble her hard earned money.

Add to this the girls that will then start just hanging out AT the casinos waiting for the winning customers.

No good at all could come from a casino in Pattaya.

Believe me when I say this...I know a lot about casinos.

Doesn't Steve Wynn own half of the Ambassador in Jomtien, and that's where Thailands first pilot casino is scheduled?

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

First I have ever heard of that -- if he does, somebody might want to tell him, as it is a shithole based upon all that I have read.  Stayed there for a convention on my first trip to Pattaya YEARS ago, and, based upon reviews, it hasn't been updated/renovated since (and it wasn't very nice back then!)

As for a casino on Pattaya, not a fan.  If you think the crowds are getting too touristy now, wait until gambling is available.

If I want a casino, I'll go to Las Vegas or a local Indian reservation.

When I want naked TGs to do "unsavory" things to/with me (which is ALWAYS!), I'll go to Thailand.....

Las Vegas ? Don't you think it's a bit too far when you are living in Thailand ?

When you see how full are all week-end buses towards Cambodia borders,

I don't see why Thailand should not profit of the huge amount of money involved.
