Man Shoots Himself Accidentally

Pattaya Police were informed in the early hours of 27th November that a man had been shot on Jomtien Beach.

Officers went to the scene to learn that the victim had been taken to Banglamung Hospital, however there was evidence of a lot of blood stains found on the ground. Officers went to the hospital to find 19 year old Mr. Prasit Tongkrim, who was being treated for a gunshot wound in his right leg. He stated that he was walking along the beach road with his friends when a car passed by and someone inside shot him. However, officers headed by Police Colonel Nopadol Wongnorm, did not believe the man’s story, mainly because after investigating the man’s clothes they discovered that there was evidence that a gun had been fired from one of the trouser pockets. They believe that Prasit was carrying a loaded gun in his trousers which triggered off accidentally and shot him in the leg. Further investigations are now underway with the man who will probably be charged with possessing a weapon in public.
