Anyone know a direct flight from BKK to Manilla? They all route through KL or Singapore. I need a direct flight really or it is going to mess up my plans. Thanks for help.

Thai airways, Cebu pacific, Philippine airlines and Kuwait airways fly this route direct.

Look up www.kayak.com

You can then chose flights which are direct or not.

Did you actually try any web based airticket sites?

When I lived in Guam PAL had direct flight 2 times a week, I think Tuesdat and Thursday, BKK to MNL. Back then it was pretty inexpensive too, it was about $600 USD for me to go from GUM -> MNL -> BKK stay for 4 days BKK -> MNL -> GUM. Make sure you get the hotel package deal though, it's cheaper than just the flight alone. You can just skip going to the hotel, at least that's what I did.

I finally checked out CebuPacific and they have a direct flight. Very cheap too, about $150 round trip. If I do by a miracle make it out there in Feb/Mar I will do 2 weeks in Patts and a 3rd in Angeles. I think I should really try AC out as my friend swears by it. Otherwise I will squeeze a week in Costa Rica and will of course give a full trip report.

I would rather pay the extra and fly Thai, better timings and service.

WHY:

Most guy's get stuck for an extra days hotel charge at either end because of their flight times, Cebu are real strict on luggage allowance and they charge 50Peso for a bottle of water!!!!.
