Hotel Choices

Hi All,

I've been to Pattaya 3 times.

In 2001, I went with a group of mates and we all stayed at the Green Park Resort. I remeber that the hotel had a fabulous pool and I really liked it.

I didn't return to Pattaya until 2010 when I went by myself and stayed at Tim Boutique. I liked Tim Boutique, The pool wasn't great but the location was A1. I was a bit gutted to find places like Susies Soapy and the Winchester bar were gone but I guess 9 years is a long time.

I was back in Pattaya with a couple of mates earlier this month. We stayed in four seasons place and I think we got upgraded to suites which were really nice but the pool wasn't great. All the hotels were pricey as we booked last minute and it was the kongs birthday.

There are 3 of us going back to Pattaya in May for 14 nights. I am tempted to go back to the Green Park resort, Does anyone know if it is still girl friendly? No free internet puts me off though.....

I've been looking at the Royal LK suites, Does anyone know if it is any good?
Location looks good. Check
Pool looks good. Check
Free internet. Check
Girl Friendly (Surely!!) ??
I read on these forums that the buffet breakfast is good.

Can any of you help me pick? Anyone got any experience of the Royal LK suites please??

Just out of interest, here is the reply I got from the green park resort about their guest/girl policy. 'Dear Sir,

 

Thank you for your email,

 

We are pleased to inform you that if you bring guest to the room you must to

pay 100 baht for 1 guest and if your bring 2 guest have to pay 500 baht

without breakfast.

Well, at least they emailed you back, better than those who never even bother.

 

Why the difference though in guest charges, clearly a Thai thing.
