PATTAYA – December 31, 2012 [PDN]; a report of a dead person found in a Soi Korphai apartment was received by the police at Pattaya police station. Officers went to inspect the scene with the rescue officer.

Police found the body of an unidentified man lying in a bed in a 3rd floor from. The victim was a ladyboy, about age 20-23. His body had started to decompose, with a strong odor coming from it. Police estimated he had been dead for about 5 days.

Police questioned the friends of the ladyboy, who had found his body. They said that their friend worked in a beer bar in Walking Street. They last saw him when they were all finished at the Christmas party on December 25.

Later, they tried to call to him after no one had seen him for several days, but no one picked up the phone. The ladyboy’s friends decided to go see him at his room, and found that his door was locked. So they pried open the door and went inside his room, and found he had already died.

The friends told police that their deceased friend always ate dietary medicine and drank a lot of liquor. While searching the room, the officers also found some dietary medicine.

Police initially assumed that the ladyboy had a congenital disease, but whether the cause of his death was from eating the dietary medicine or not, would have to wait for the autopsy results.
