Irish rovers or Drunken Ducks?

I like the soi LK Metro area. (Close to DDen, away from the noise of WS).

I am in a bit of a quandry on whether to go with the Ducks or the Rovers.

 

My criteria are

1)Clean reasonably pricedgirl friendly rooms

2)Wifi

What are the barfines like for both these hotels if i pick a girl from the bar?

 

I could check out both places by splitting my time between them if they are both equally good.

They are that close to each other not worth moving. You are surrounded by gogos and other bars with girls so don,t sweat the barfine cost. Probably 300-400 a BF. You wouldn,t be confining your selection to those 2 bars believe me.

Both bars work closely together and are about 50 meters apart. As to which is best I would say they are very similar. Both are sports orientated, both have decent rooms, both are girl friendly etc etc. DD has recently opened a restaurant so they both have (good) food also.

 

Both have good owners who also support the forum is various ways.

 

I would suggest you try BOTH as i know they are pretty much full at the moment so that should help your decision.

The Drunken Duck refurbished all of our rooms 2 years ago.

We are girl friendly as long as they have an ID card

wifi in all rooms

If you stay in room 1 or 2 you can see the ladies from the Den from your balcony

BF is 350

Sorry to give you even more options but I can also recommend another place in this street.

Ive stayed Metro Apartments before and found it awesome!

 

Again the location is great (next to D Duck actually) and the service is fantastic and friendly.

 

I'm confident if you pick any of these places you will have a great time as they are all highly talked about on addicts and by friends that have stayed there.

 

For price and great location you can not go wrong!

I can vouch for the irish rovers,a great friendly place with good hosts,never stayed at the drunken duck though so cant comment,they both have websites though although you will probably know that.

You will not need a gym for a 10 day holiday in Pattaya. Just go to Devils Den or Soi 6 a few times.

Never stayed at either place but enjoyed having a drink at both. Also took a girl twice from the Duck. Both places seem well run.

There are some really cute girls in Rovers but not sure if they are available or not as I think that one is the bosses wife/girlfriend.

 

But seriously I don't think you should be looking to BF from where you are staying anyway.

It is a sure fire way to lead to problems when bringing back other girls to your place.

Good advice. But somehow didn't hv this problem at Secrets where i had stayed in my previous 3 trips. Sampled their bar quite extensively.

True but the good thing about Secrets is that it has a side entrance just for the hotel so you don't have to parade your girl though the bar to get to the stairs to your room.

Not such the case at DDuck and IRovers.

I have stayed at the Irish Rovers on my last four trips and have just booked again for my next trip in March.

 

First of all, the wifi works very well. Secondly, the rooms are large and the beds are superb (both for sleeping and boom boom ).

The room furniture could do with an upgrade but again is good enough for the job it does. The TV's are OK, but with so many screens

downstairs in the bar, I don't find it really matters.

If you stay at the front of the guesthouse the noise from LK Metro can be heard at night, but I would think that is the same for any hotel/guesthouse

on LK Metro.

 

Regarding location, I don't think there is a better area to stay in the whole of Pattaya. LK Metro is central to a lot of great gogo bars, beer bars and

restaurants.

 

Simon and Josh run the place very well. Lots of different sports on the TV's in the bar, and also has an excellent food menu.

 

Although I have barfined from the Rovers in the past, you always have to make it clear to the girls that you intend to butterfly in the future, and usually they

are OK with that, but, as advised already, it isn't always a good idea to take a girl from where you stay.

 

I have never stayed at the Drunken Duck, so can't comment on that. As far as I know, it has a good solid reputation.
