Angry Elephant kills trainer in Hua Hin

I think even the effalumps know the world is going to end today - this particular one took it upon himself to end the life of his mahout (trainer), 57 year old Rat Tajak, the effalump was named Plai Si Dor. Fortunately it appears the Thai's didn't kill this lovely animal, but chose to wait about six hours for him to calm down whilst he was occupied with demolishing cars - then the tranquilizers finally took effect.

I'm no animal psychologist, but if a big bull effalump kills his trainer then moves on to demolishing vehicles, that tells me he doesn't like us humans too much at the moment - I'd avoid going to any elephant shows in the area for a while.
