Any Big bike owners do a regular ride/get together in pattaya?

Hello all,

 

I just recently moved to pattaya and was wondering if there are many members that ride big bikes and do regular rides. I have a street bike and an enduro so I am interested in all types of terrain and riding. I also really enjoy track days. Has anyone spent time on BIRA. Is it open to the public for fun/practice or just events? I would be interested and willing to plan some events if a group is not already in existence if there is enough interest.

Unfortunately my big bike stays in the UK.

I know there is a group that meets up on the Darkside at least once a week, a guy at my condo goes along, but I'm back in the UK now so cannot get any details from him.

Went along to BIRA a few years ago to see a mate on a track day - mostly Thais but open to all, it was dirt cheap, less than 2,000bht from memory. I'm sure someone on PA would have more details.

when you say big bikes...ive got a new cbr 250r............. but i know how to drive it ! 

 

i live in pattaya,pretty much on sukhumvit,any spare time i have i go for a spin ,past the dark side and those east,mountain areas

Bira is open to the public 7 days a week unless something comes up. From what I remember Bikes can ride all day Monday from 8am-6pm, every other day of the weeks its mornings only 8am until 12pm after 12pm cars are out on the track. Its a flat fee of 1300 Baht no matter what day you go most guys go on mondays so they can ride all day long for the same fee.

Bira is 1200 Bhat. 

 

Track academy planned for October but no dates confirmed. Great for beginners to get some tuition and tips on track riding.

Can you hire a bike to ride bira?

I'd love to do a trackday while over there.

High side tours used to rent and provide all leathers etc. not sure on their status now.

 

If you rent from else where be advised I think the policy tends to go you crash it you buy it.
