PBR or Page 10

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I have had two quotes for hotels for 16 days in February.

Pattaya Bay Resort: 20,336 Baht for a standard room

Page 10: 41,600 Bhat for a deluxe room

I have stayed at neither of these hotels but Page 10 looks nicer with good location as well. What do BMs think? Which should I go for?

Sorry, but I don't see a reasonable way to compare those two. Page 10 is better in so many ways - quality, location, style. PBR is less than half the price. Check your budget, perhaps the answer lies there?

There is major construction work going on both in front of and behind the Pattaya Bay Resort at the moment, and it will be continuing through most of 2013.

I'm a fan of PBR, both of its location and its staff; but it's a budget hotel compared to Page 10.

Hi,

same advice as above.. Page 10 is a nice boutique style hotel, PBR is great value for money and clean but with building work

going on at moment makes it a bit noisey... I would be staying at page 10 if budget suits. otherwise there are stacks of other options to look at. Areca lodge has a great location near my favourite spot soi LK Metro...

Page 10 if Budget allows.

Guys

Does anyone know if Page 10 has a joining fee for a second girl? If so how much?

S'n'D

Scotch the answer is No.

The rate you were quoted for Page 10 is about HALF what I am finding!

I am getting quotes of around 5500 baht per night (and NOT for a suite - for a deluxe room) in February.

I guess they're pretty full so they're jacking the prices up on the last few rooms.

I am looking into other alternatives -- either Sea Me or The Stay

Just picked a random 4 day block in Feb. on Agoda for Page 10. 2,000b per night with breakfast.

Maybe your dates overlap with some big event in town?

Great place, BTW.

I overlap with Valentine's Day, so maybe that's why.

In any event, Agoda has Page 10 at 4800 baht per night for the period that I am there. By comparison, the D2 is 3900 baht over the same period.

I'll probably end up going with a Sea view room at Sea Me Springs (or Sea Me Springs Too) for around 2800 baht (price quoted by property in email to me) unless it's a pre-pay/non-refundable rate.

Page 10 is nice..great location

i got a 2140 baht per night deal (Deluxe Studio) using tim's service (www.thaihoteldiscounts.com)

I even contacted the hotel directly but even they were not able to price match that.

Glad Page 10 gets good recommendations. I booked 5 nights there in June for when I come and visit my old man who lives in Jomtien.  Not staying there though, too slow for me.

Page ten is a great hotel, its usually about double pbr. Is it twice as good? Not in my opinion but with the building works at pbr i will prob stay there in Oct.

There is a new hotel right across from the Apex hotel called Maytara. They have just opened and are offering special rates. Phone number is 038-411-455, e-mail is [email protected]. They also have a website www.maytara.com but it does not appear to work.

They were quoting 1850 Baht/night when I checked last week.

They have been building this forever will check it out for room sizes and long term rates thanks for the heads up

Thanks for the info!

Would love to see photos/reviews once people have a chance to start staying there

Not on Agoda yet, as far as I could tell
