The suspect is accused of possessing a Type-1 drug (amphetamine) for selling and distribution. Police seized the evidence of 2 amphetamine pills and the banknotes used by police in purchasing the drugs.

The police began investigating Ms. Waleeporn after parents in the area complained that she was smuggling and selling amphetamines to students and group of teenagers. Police detectives initially arrested the network of teenagers buying and using the drugs. They then made a plan to arrest the dealer Ms. Waleeporn by arranging an undercover purchase of the amphetamines in the classroom.

After her arrest, the suspect confessed to smuggling and selling drugs for more than a month. She obtained her drugs from a supplier in Thoonglaharn village. She paid 140 THB per amphetamine pill, which she would re-sell to students and teenagers for 170 THB per pill.

Ms. Waleeporn claimed she resorted to selling drugs because her income was not enough to support her family. So she moonlighted as a drug dealer to get money to feed her children.
