I did the run from pattaya north bus station to Don Muang yesterday. I caught the 9.50am bus to Mor Chit bus station, cost 133 baht and it took around 2 hrs 30 mins. I caught a taxi outside the terminal, meter was 105 baht and took around 20 minutes, a very good run. No great dramas at the airport, only two people in the immigration queue (tho the counter guy said it did get busy) and no one at security waiting. I would certainly recommend it as a way to get there.

 

If you dont want the expense of a taxi all the way from pattaya then its probably a more flexible option than the bell bus service van.

Heres another couple of even cheaper options

 

1 - Bell bus get picked up from hotel and taken to Suvarnabhumi then the free shuttle to Don Muang - Total cost 200 baht

 

2 - From Jomtien airport bus to Suvarnabhumi then free shuttle to Don Muang - Total cost 134 bahy

Sorry, I'm not clear why a motorbike taxi to North terminal - Bus to Morchit - taxi to airport. is more flexible then a van to Bell bus terminal - Bus to BKK - Van to Don Muang. Maybe I'm missing something.

Slowly man Because the Bell bus service van from swampy to DMK only goes three times a day and costs you 350 baht.I thought this was a rather inflexible option. The free shuttle bus is a better option if you want to use the bell bus service.

 

I am not saying that via Mor Chit is any better or worse than other choices its just another option people can use and so I posted details of how to do it.

It's on the ground floor sorry I cant be more specific as I haven't done the journey from Suvarnabhumi to Don Muang but I have taken the free shuttle from Don Muang to Suvarnabhumi a few times the drop off point is outside departures floor, no problems any of the times I travelled.

 

Pick up point to Don Muang is on the ground floor It will be easy to find just go to the ground floor and look for the signs or ask at one of the counters for the free shuttle bus to Don Muang.

Seems like a great option but how often do these buses run and at what hours? ex. if bus only leaves every 4hrs then sometimes not practical to use them.
