After days / weeks of searching to find a relatively decent hotel within a suitable budget that caters for my needs and reading more reviews than I care to remember, I have finally settled on Sutus Court 1 and just booked 2 rooms for me and a pal (his first time in Patt's and I can't wait to see his face and show him the delights of what he has been missing after selling him with all my stories! I think i'm looking forward to his reaction more than anything! )

 

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. Can someone please give me some simple directions to the above mentioned hotel in relation to some areas I know, thus eliminating me wandering around the streets of Patts trying to find it .. (it's been a while since I was last there)

 

So, if I was standing outside the Areca Lodge (with Areca on my right) looking up towards "Witherspoons Sports Pub - http://www.witherspoonspattaya.com/ " where would I go from here? ..

 

My reason for asking is that looking at the maps on booking.com or agoda.com it would appear that Sutus Court 1 is quite a bit 'further up' .. however doing a search directly on google maps, it shows as being somewhat directly behind Areca Lodge. Bizarre considering that all maps are provided by Google!!?!?!

 

Also, has anyone recently stayed at Sutus Court 1? - If so, any reviews good or bad? ... it seemed to be the best (and most expensive) of the 4 Sutus buildings listed along with the largest rooms (50sq meters) and commanded some v.good reviews.

It is opposite the 18 coins hotel, just past the subway place on the corner, about 3 min walk from wither spoons on the same side,

From Areca, up to junction of soi buakhao turn right up to 18 coins and cross over the road and bobs your uncle

Thanks chaps .. as easy as that eh! ... shame I'm not staying in Areca again but saving my pennies for a blow-out in Xmas / NY 2013! March is just the warm up ...

 

PS. I'll be sure to drop in the Night Wish on my visit in March.

It is my favorite place to stay in Pattaya and I have been there several times over the last 6 months. Just stay off the 7th and maybe the 6th floors as the water pressure, although not bad, is not as strong as the lower floors. Good price for the product quality and great location.

They have 3 or 4 different priced hotel rooms. I stayed in the newest ones which are priced the highest. A few months ago I paid between 800 and 900 baht a night. I think it was 850 baht.

Thanks for the info all - I'm assuming that Sutus Court 1 is the newest being the most expensive of the 4? ... thanks for the tip regarding the lower floors too. I'll be sure to try and get a room further down!

 

With regards to rates. I just paid £285 per room (13,950baht) for 15 nights ... roughly 930baht per night.

I stayed on the top floor and had no problem with water pressure and the wifi was sound as well. In fact the shower was big enough that I shagged my GF on the floor.Paid 850 a night.The pool and spa are good to chill out as well.

The water pressure wasn't bad on the 7th floor. But if you stayed on a lower floor you would realize it is significantly inferior to the lower floors.

 

I loved the big shower and also thought the WiFi was better than average for a Thai hotel.

Havent stayed there myself, but i might do it next time. Very well located, close to LK Metro area, soi Diana etc. and not far from Second Rd and Mikes Mall, soi 7 & 8.

Staying in China Garden for the first nights makes it very easy for you to go and have a look at Sutus Court. Should be no more than 2 min. walk from Soi Lengkee.

There is an entrance in Soi Lengkee. Next to Opey de place. Quick stroll direct to The Place to Bee.

when i tried agoda is was going to be 780 baht a night but then when i clicked through to nearley pay they charge you £55.50 booking fee about 2500 baht . 

 

so i think ill book with sutus website anybody stayed there latley ? 

 

im going in may and june so im thinking of giving it a try /

I'm here now. It's good value. Price, dunno, whatever it says on their website or Agoda. I thought SC1 was about 900 baht right now.

I stayed there a month ago and yes it is 900 baht. I asked the desk Manager why it had gone up and she said that more and more customer use more electricity and not turn off appliance. 900 baht is still a steal. If 50 baht a day is going to make a difference you should stay home.

The appliances all turn themselves off when you take the key out of the slot.

Good hotel and never had any problems there.

But get your breakfast somewhere else. They cant manage to get more than one order correct, when you finally get them to take your order that is. They can serve beers.

If you don't take they key out they don't. I think her point was that so many more people have laptops, kindles, phones etc charging all the time the usage has gone up. And the cost has gone up as well.

 

I also noted a lot more russian couples who spent more time around the pool and in their rooms than previous visits. Not like most of us who leave the room for 10-12 hours at a time and return with Tilac Du Jour so aircon would be on more.

well thats me booked for may 900 baht a night - i hope its girl friendly as ill be taking a new one each night hopefully - also i hope the reception staff are ok and dont put the knife in me and my lady each night . when i stayed at the sunview hotel the staff could not tell my lady quick enough that i was a butterfly and have new lady every night he come many times ok it was true but she does not need to know that till i say bye bye in the morning .
