hi just want to let people know that i stopped in this hotel last month, the soi 10 road has a building site on the beach road end.what a racket there is,,,8 am to 7/8 pm daily (unless the pile driver breaks down)...haha.i booked the last 9 nights of my 3 week stay there without seeing the area and what i didnt expect was 8 am wake up call every day,the roof top pool was a no go because of the noise going on.i know theres got to be building work done but im just fore warning you guys if thinking about stopping there any time soon....booked through agoda for 3 of my 4 hotels i stayed in ,,,got some nice discounted rooms, agoda everytime for me

Thanks for this info. I was just searching for info on it as I was going to book for February. Won't now...Thanks again.

I've been staying at SMS2 since Nov 10 and the good news is that they've completed the piling and shoring work. They will start work on the foundation and structure next. Whatever noise tha creates I don't know, but the constant pounding has stopped

I stayed across the road from this building site last week and yes it was a little noisy.

Lucky for me I am used to a lot of noise and sleeping during the late morning/day so it did not bother me too much.

It will be great once all the building has finished.

Sea Me Too is a horrible hotel for a number of reasons. I'd stay elsewhere if I where you.

Hi Singha 11

I'd be interested if you could expand on your comments on SeaMeToo. Why did you find the hotel so bad? I tried to look back and see if you did a review but couldn't find one.

I just got back from a 3 week stay there and I thought the hotel was a good value especially if you use the the membership card (300B off the rack price). My only complaint was the construction noise next door but that was only temporary and stopped after a week.

Thanks

Same same I'm a big fan of both SeaMe's. Huge rooms and views over the bay. After extreme noise in Sept 12 however I'm going for Sandy Spring this Xmas / NY. Good to hear things have settled down in soi 10.

But new construction coming soon? SeaMe 3 on last vacant block.

I've mostly stayed in one of their sister hotels called Summer Spring. That hotel had great staff and everything about the hotel I just loved, I was expecting a similar experience but didn't get that.

I had booked a sea view room and on arrival I was given a room facing the ocean but you could not see the ocean whatsoever. I obviously asked to be moved and they said they were booked out but I could when there was a room available. Also on arrival my credit card wouldn't swipe and they said I couldn't use this card because it wouldn't swipe, I told them you can type the numbers in but this was just too hard for the staff. I then said to them that they easily took a deposit when I emailed the numbers but now I'm here with the card it's impossible??? I said I'll just email the card numbers to you and maybe then you can figure it out!! It was a joke.

All rooms have very thin walls and the noise from other rooms can be quite loud.

Any rooms near the stairs will struggle to sleep as the stairs are tiles and when people are walking up and down at all hours in thongs it was just like a continuous slap slap slap.

My room would smell like smoke to the point where I found it hard to breath and I assume that's through the air con being connected room to room.

All fittings in the bathroom and the room were just slapped together and makes it look like a very cheap hotel.

Staff allowed crazy thai girls up to my room without even a call and how I didn't end up stabbed by one of these obsessed chicks I don't know!

Cleaning staff were very unfriendly and getting toilet paper or towels was a massive hassle, one roll in 3 days doesn't cut it on my Pattaya diet.

I could probably go on but you get the picture. I'm glad you guys had a great stay but I certainly won't be going back there!

Have never stayed at Summer. Wandered up there in Sept after issues in soi 10 but there seemed to be shopping centre construction next door? Everyone has own experience. Mine are limited to Sandy, SeaMe and SeaMe Too.... Discount card is a good deal.

Very true mate. What's good for me may not be the same for you.

thanks Singha 11 for taking the time.

If I had your experiences I'd have a negative view also. Fortunately I didn't.

I would agree with you on the cheap construction and looking back they were a bit stingy on toiletries sometimes. My room #807 was isolated so I didn't have any of the internal noise problems.
