Karaoke Bargirl Lured Into Date Rape By Customers

A 25-year-old waitress at a Sattahip karaoke bar was raped by three patrons on the pretext of going to another bar. She went with them because one man was a regular patron and seemed reliable. But she was taken to a rented room and raped.

SATTAHIP – November 18, 2012 [PDN]; at 4 p.m., a rape victim came to file a complaint to Pol. Lt. Narate Boonthee, investigation officer, and give her testimony in the investigation room of the Sattahip police station.

The victim, “Ms. Porn” (alias), age 25, from Srisakate province, is a waitress at Nong Paeng karaoke bar, Soi Bon Kai, Moo 6 Tambon Sattahip, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province.

She told the police she had been deceived by three men, who raped her in a rental room with no address at Sattahip market. Ms. Porn said the rapes occurred on the previous night, when a regular customer named Mr. Samart Lekdee or Dave, age 24, had come to drink liquor with two friends named Mr. Paripat Meunsoonthorn or Am, age 24 and Mr. Chaiyapreuk Yusamran or Teh, age 22.

Then Mr. Dave persuaded her to travel to an entertainment center with them. Because he was a regular customer and seemed reliable, Ms. Porn agreed to go with him. After the karaoke bar closed at about midnight, she rode on a motorbike with Mr. Dave. But on the way, he told her that he had to stop to change his shirt at the room. Suddenly Mr. Dave and his friends dragged her into the room.

Ms. Porn prostrated at their feet, and pleaded with them not to harm her. But they didn’t listen to her, because everyone got drunk and had sexual emotions. Mr. Dave told his two friends to wait outside. Mr. Dave then raped Ms. Porn until reaching climax. Then he called his two friends to come inside to rape her too. After finishing, they let her wear clothes and sent her to the bus stop.

The Sattahip police officer let the victim testify to record the daily notes for evidence. He then arranged for her to go to the hospital to check for STD infections, because she was afraid of being infected by one rapist who didn’t wear a condom while having sex.

Pol. Col. Chonnapat Nawalak, Superintendent of the Sattahip police station commanded the detective police team, led by Pol. Lt. Niphon Pomsanarm, Deputy Superintendent, to investigate the case. He also sent the police team to arrest the defendants to be prosecuted according to the law.
