Have often stayed at the Bay Breeze.

Best thing it has going for it is the location, close to everything.

Rooms have not been renovated, only the downstairs reception and dining room.

Downstairs is excellent but rooms still a little tired.

Stayed there only last week.

I always stay there and just got back last month.I was given a "renovated" room....there was new carpet and a little bit of painting done and not much more. However you cannot beat the location IMHO...close enough but far enough away...and at 650 baht per night, good value.

I've also been looking into staying at the Bay Breeze but didn't know if it was any good ie a dump !!!

I stayed at the Diana a few years back and although the hotel is ok the noise/music from the beer bars next door till at least 3am every night can be a tad annoying.......even the ladies commented on it lol

Ive stayed there many times with no problem. Recommend 7th floor with balcony, even numbers. Great sunsets and side view of ocean. Just installed safe in room instead of lobby. Room 702 was good, clean room, flat screen and mini bar (which I stock myself from 7-11 on corner) Great location too. Not super fancy but good price. The room was not bad noise wise from all the beer bars across the street on 2nd rd. Pay the little extra for the balcony, I think it makes a big difference

Stayed at Bay Breeze many times in the past , when it was 499Bt a night with buffet breakfast for two included! extremely slow lift though , when they put in a new lift and added a new coat of paint the price went up, last time it cost me 700Bt a night for a few nights (high season) but it has a lot of faithful regulars so its worth calling in and enquiring last june they were offering cheapest rooms at 600Bt which is a very good price
