Visa on arrival any limitation on the number of time

Hi I was reading one of the website it says like u cannot enter Thailand more than 4 consecutive time. can any one share if this is true. does this apply to visa on arrival.

the link for the below text is Pattaya News Flash - Visa Rules ; need info please share u r thought.

As of June 01 2009:

Thai Immigration Bureau has issued a new regulation.

A foreigner who has entered the kingdom four (4) consecutive times on 15 days tourist exemption stamps, will not be allowed to leave the country and re-enter Thailand. The only option is to exit Thailand and re-enter via an international airport, which will allow a further 30 day stay.

The new RULES does not affect holders of visas issued abroad. Foreigners are advised to apply for a Tourist visas or Non-Immigrant visas at a Royal Thai Embassy or consulate outside Thailand instead of using the 15 day exemption rule.

Thx

Are you making a roundtrip and going in and outside of Thailand ?

Otherwise it would be much easier to apply for a tourist visa for 60 days with a 30 day exemption

or take a cheap Air Asia flight from a neighbouring country to entry via the airport for a 30 day visa .

The 30 day entries via air are unlimited .

It has been the case for a long time that if you travel to the border across land 4 x times and receive 15 days then you next trip would have to be through the airport or you can take a trip to Laos on a bus because you are leaving Thailand and obtain a tourist visa to then return on a 60 day visa.

The 4 x times is not a new rule they are just now enforcing it, just to make everybody happy again

So if you come through the airport on a 30 day visa you can go to the border 4 times only for 15 days per time

If you leave through the airport and then return you will get 30 days again

If you wish to stay longer the best and cheapest way is a quick trip to Laos for a tourist visa

Thanks, Darren

There is no official limit, but after 4 border runs they might suspect you of working illegally and ask you some questions. If you are flying in and out then there are no limits and no questions will be asked.

The limit on the number of consecutive entries allowed on the visa waiver scheme was scraped when they reduced the time given at land crossings from 30 days to 15.

However. the OP is not asking about the visa waiver entries as he appears to be an Indian national and needs to get a visa on arrival. If you are planning on staying for a long period it would be best to get a visa before leaving home.
