just interested to where and what you think should be a must take photograph in thailand, where is the best place you have taken photographs?. and where would you reccomend to go ??

Most of mine have been taken on golf courses around Pattaya. But in September I got some really good ones up in a village near Udon Thani. There are great photos everywhere just us your imagination. It can be of an insect a candid street shot a sunset or anything else. Go to the observation point at dusk and shoot a long exposure shot and it will look amazing. So there is no best place unless you want to take stunning landscapes and then it is up north,

Hope this helps you.

Samples from all Issan and Pattaya in the last two months. Two from the golf courses and 3 from up north

I went to Krabi recently and I found the sunsets on the Beach there are more colorful than at many other places I had visited....but make sure you take any landscape photos in the morning - or late afternoon when the light is better.

Any of the temples (wat) are good in Bangkok, as is the Chinese temple in Pattaya - well worth the long climb - and the main one on the north headland of Koh Samui which has a giant Buddha. But Thailand is a such a colourful, vibrant place, it's best just to keep your camera with you and keep your eyes peeled.

For me the key aspect is the light. So far, staying in the Thailand flood plain, I have never seen light as exquisite as my faroutite location of Aceh Indonesia. Sure you can Photoshop or other appraoch using HDR to achieve such intensity, but for straight out of the camera effects it can' be beat. Near dusk is the best time.

Yes , I added the link to make you happy , but you could still see the site it came from without it ....

So are you going to share your expertise and actually answer the OP's question or just moan ?

Very easily seen as you walk along the beach in Pattaya.

I wish I could get my act together to use my camera and camcorder in LOS but I get distracted by so many things and the few resolutions I bring home are poor, these days if I look back it depresses me,"why can I not be there now".

Don't know if I should get out more, but I just find everywhere I go in Thailand, I can see something to photograph.

From a quiet town at night (Chaiyaphum) to the streets of Bangkok or a strange type of theme park!

I did add my reply of where he should visit, I am not moaning at all but take offense at people posting photos that aren't there own.

I have plenty of shots in my link that are all mine
