Police arrested 10 trannies along Pattaya Beach Road and Second Road after several tourists were recently drugged and robbed by ladyboys. The trannies were tested for drugs and information logged in police files. Police also announced the arrest of a Bangkok meth dealer hiding out in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – November 13, 2012 [PDN]: at 12:30 a.m., a sweep of transgender prostitutes in south Pattaya was ordered by Pol. Maj. Col. Kowit Sawatmongkol, suppression inspector of Pattaya police station, Chonburi.

Police forces and police volunteers joined to sweep and arrest trannies and prostitutes selling their services to tourists along Beach Road and Pattaya Second Road. Officers detained more than 10 transgenders and brought them to Pattaya police station.

Police questioned them thoroughly and recorded their information for police files. They were also subjected to urine tests to check for drug use. The police said the arrests were meant to serve as a warning and deterrent to trannies and prostitutes looking for opportunities to drug and steal from victims. Because foreign tourists were recently victimized by Pattaya sex workers, such crimes damage the image of Pattaya as a destination for tourists.

The drugging and robbing of unsuspecting tourists have usually involved transgender hookers, so the police are cracking down on them to discourage the dishonest ones. Police recorded the personal information of the trannies to find them more easily if they commit crimes.

In another case, police announced the arrest of a drug dealer, identified as Mr. Kukiat or Keng Saengow, age 26, living at house number 679, Wattana, north Phra Khanong , Bangkok. Police seized the evidence of 150 tablets of meth.

The suspect’s arrest resulted from a follow-up investigation of another drug dealer. After police discovered that Mr. Kukiat was another dealer, officers tracked him down and arrested him at room 33 on the third floor of Surisuk apartments on Pattaya Third Road. Police then brought the suspect to the police station to question and prosecute.

ALSO LOST some credit cards and two debit cards and a small amount of money from THE SEASIDE INN, guesthouse, in PATTAYA as i did not lock my suitcase while going to lunch at a mall in PATTAYA..
