Marina Inn on Soi Yensabai

While going through Agoda for joiner frndly hotels, stumbled upon Marina Inn on soi yensabai, any idea how is it? distance from Walking Street is fairly close I believe, the deluxe rooms look good for the price mentioned, anybody stay there before, all sorts of info welcomed.

It's on a gay area, old hotel completly renovated, pool reopen, not far from Walking Street, about 10-15 minutes walk.

ok guys, i have stayed there for 11 days end of November. was really disappointed with the place.

first, i want to say that i choose that hotel because i booked very late and most place i tried were full or didnt have good room.

booked through Agoda, when i arrived there, seems they had no trace of my booking but they sorted me out fast.

 

my room was on the second floor (12B). i entered the room and said to myself that that was not the room i booked. quite small and quite noisy (was 10pm), even though it was renovated it still looked old. tv was shit.

went down to reception to complain about the room and she told me that that was my booking and that i was on the quietest side of the hotel.

many customers were not mongers and you could hear everything in the corridor and they could here you in the room. barfined some screamers and at first was a bit embarrasing but then i wouldnt care.

having stayed in previous stays in Parrott´s Inn (3r road) and Queen Victoria (Soi 6) for the same category of rooms and similar money, it was a huge disappointment.

regarding the gay zone, honestly was not bothered about it. it is not exactly in the same street. you dont have to pass in front of the gay bars to get to second road.

Swimming pool area is very nice but didnt use it much.

 

all in all, i wouldnt recommend that place. there are far better options around.

 

for the last few days, i checked out (even though it was paid and no refund) and went to Grand Hotel in front of Secrets, great place but price is obviously higher. paid 1600 bahts for deluxe. but premium location.
