Etihad, Emirates or Qatar

I am planning on flying from Manchester and all three airlines usually come in around the same price, so I was wondering out of the three, which one fellow BM's would choose if the prices were the same and flight times equal?

Cheers

I fly with Emirates from manchester and have no complaints at all, but i have not flown with the others.

Only used Etihad out of those three ,but the service was better than Eva , Thai or BA

If it floats, flies or fucks It's probably cheaper to rent ...

I've flown Etihad and Emirates from Manchester and don't think there is much difference apart from the fact it only took a couple of flights to reach silver status with Etihad and I now get a free three course meal and all I can drink in the lounge before travelling.

The last years I flew 3 times with Ethiad and 2 times with Gulf., and if I had to decide between this two Airlines I would choose Ethiad. The aircrafts are newer and the service is a little bit friendlier. For my next trip in december I have chosen Ethiad because I got a good business class offer.

But my favorite Airline to Thailand is still Thai Airways.

same flight experience will just depend on how packed the legs are and fog delay in middle east.

but emirates has started screwing those wishing to change return dates (and i don't mean just £100/change)

Qatar airport is a dump with nowhere you can get a drink and only one restaurant with shitty food.

Based on the above, I would go with the other two.

For me it would all depend on the layover times.

Never used any of them as the layover times have always put me off. Always fly direct with Thai or Eva Airways depending on who is the cheapest at the time.

All my flights with either Emirates or Etihad have been no more than 2hrs layover at Abu or Dubai. Only flown with Thai once from LHR and was delayed 6hrs!

I actually quite like getting off half way and walking around to stretch my legs and break up the boredom.

Flown with both over the years many times and touch wood have never been delayed once. I take a sleeping tablet as soon as i board the aircraft and wake up about an hour before i land feeling totally refreshed and ready for the onslaught. :GoldenSmile1:

So how do you transit through Dubai / Abu Dhabi when you are asleep ?

I dont i fly DIRECT with Thai or Eva Airways if you bother to read my reply to the OP. :Think1:

I have used all 3 airlines but always out of Heathrow as cost is a big factor to me, I cannot complain about any, the service is great even in cattle class. I always plead with everyone although may get an "attendant" that may not be responding or putting up a barrier to what you think is a reasonable request, there are normally others on your flight that treat the crew as servants.

Rant over.

I fly from LHR because I am in the middle but normally Heathrow flights are cheaper, the parking is normally cheaper and driving to MAN there always seems to be more traffic problems and of course there is the weather, they delay and cancel more flights than LHR.

Although due to price hikes and flight times, I have taken a gamble and gone for Air India via Delhi with a 2 hour stopover in each direction, I am dreading it because it seems to be the most complained about airline!

For my Feb trip I have swallowed the vast price differential and gone direct again, although this could be a problem as last 2 trips booked with Eva air have been cancelled and then paid "premium price" to go withThai Air.

Thanks for the feedback guys, all food for thought.

I flew a mix of BC and cattle class with Etihad early on this year and the flight was fantastic but they screwed me on air miles - after five calls to their call centre without any resolution I have fucked them off and booked BC with Emirates.

Have flown all - very similar - however

Emirates (A380) fabulous plane - good food ample leg room

Etihad - very similar (but last trip i had bad customer service and plane was delayed 14 hours - real bummer)

Qatar - flown many times - consistant excellence - nice planes - lovely food -Best leg room :)

I'd rather avoid the Ladyboy of the pack and since I've not met one face to face (as far as i know) I'm happy to take the opinion of fellow BMs.

At least you can throw a BG out an hour into the flight if the seat ain't comfortable lol
