Abused Wife Kills Husband in Front Of Kids

A 39-year-old mother fatally stabbed her abusive husband as their two frightened children watched. She told police her husband was an alcoholic who spent all their money on booze, and he usually beat her when he was drunk. She finally snapped and stabbed him to death with a fruit knife.

RAYONG – November 7, 2012 [PDN]; at 12:50 a.m., a report of a wife killing her husband with a knife was received by Pol. Maj. Capt. Kaweewut Boonruaeng, officer of the shift, Muang Rayong police station. He informed Pol.Col. Sukitti Sawaikiat, the director of Muang Rayong police station.

Then he rushed to the scene with Pol. Col. Sukitti Sawaikiat, the director of Muang Rayong police station; Pol. Lt. Col. Damrongruk Malitong, detective inspector, Muang Rayong police station; the detective team; and the rescue team from Sawangpornkusol foundation in Rayong.

The fatal stabbing occurred at room number 183/74, moo 5, Tharntip village (chai klong) Cherngnern, Muang, Rayong.

At the scene, police found the stabbing victim, identified as Mr. Suradej, Panpaleewan, age 42. He was lying down, breathing slowly. He had been stabbed twice in the chest with a sharp and pointy fruit knife.

The rescue team tried to help the victim but he died at the scene. Standing calmly near her huband’s body was his wife, Mrs. Amornrat Sinsap, age 39.

The couple’s young children, a son and daughter, were standing nearby crying in fright. The wife confessed to police that she had killed her husband by her own hands. During questioning, Mrs. Amornrat told police what made her use a knife to kill her husband.

On November 6, with the money that her husband got from his job, he had spent it all to buy alcohol and drank until he got drunk. And every time he got drunk, he usually beat her, and he often beat her in front of their little children without caring.

She finally had enough of his abuse, so she decided to use a fruit knife to stab him twice in front of her kids, and she admitted that they got frightened. Mrs. Amornrat said she knew she was breaking the law, and she knew it would traumatize her children to witness their father being killed.
